Back From The Dead

Not really Lurid, but fun none the less
Well it’s been two years, so much has changed. If you read the post below this you will see I had a bit of a run in with the justice system. It was a harrowing experience I don’t intend going into; the important facts are my business wasn’t found guilty on any charges.

Another big change in my life is I am now a stay at home dad. The state of print as we know it is forever changed. Where I made a living designing graphics, and doing layouts for print, the jobs just are not there anymore. Although I know my way around Dreamweaver I’m not as nearly proficient as I would like to be. Trying to learn it all now, this late in the game is too little too late. It’s just made more sense if I stayed at home with my two sons and my wife work full time.

So here I am at home with a lot of time on my hands. I thought now would be a great time to not only restart LuridLit but to reboot it as well. If you’re a regular I’m sure you’ve noticed the facelift. I’m writing new content now, and will post something very soon. In the coming weeks you'll notice other changes small and large like contest Something I always wanted to do but never got around to was contest. Expect contest to be a regular thing here at LuridLit. It will be a fun way to win all sorts of cool stuff.

Speaking of winners, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the “faithful 10”; ten people are still listed as followers of LuridLit. Ten people either had faith that LuridLit would make a comeback or were too lazy to remove it from their blogroll. Either way I’m touched, and hope to hear from all of you soon, even if it’s just a reply to say hello.

Now I know it’s going to take some time to get the word out about all this, but you can help by friending me on Facebook. I’m not the type of person who makes 100 posts a day on Facebook so you don’t have to worry about me cluttering up your page.

One more piece of information. I have been slowly developing a sister site to this one, devoted to fringe cinema. Everything I love about lurid literature I love to see in motion on screen. The website is ElectroSchlock.com. Please take some time and give it the look over. It’s worth noting I will be running giveaway contest on this site too, so stay tuned.
