Short Story Book Review: “The Press: A Halloween Story” by Graham Masterton, Cemetery Dance Publications, 2012, Kindle Edition.

Our second part of our special set of columns focusing on Halloween books is another stand-alone short story e-book a little shorter than the first; hence my review will be short.

He we find a couple of twists on the classic haunted house out of an estate previously owned by an eccentric plotline. But this twist to the tale doesn’t leave this trope flat. The dialogue and concept are modernized for younger audiences not leaving any gaps in believability.

Vengeance from beyond the grave is dealt out hard as a string of long standing mysteries are laid to rest. While this story is paced like those Saturday afternoon horror movies of our youth but the payoff here is much better.
